Album Notes

Born to musician parents, Genevieve has been creating music since childhood. She began developing her style while performing at local jazz clubs as well as freestyle battles in San Francisco. With her first album release with band LEGATO (www.legatolounge.com) in 2004, Genevieve toured with her band across the west coast college circuit and frequented many local venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Recording voice-over work for video game & toy companies such as Sony’s X-Box and Leapfrog expanded the artists’ realm of performance, prompting the collaboration of CHOO CHOO SOUL (www.choochoosoul.com ) , a full-length Children’s hip-hop/soul album. The Album was purchased by Disney and expanded into a TV interstitial currently airing daily on the Disney Channel with Genevieve as the star.

Not only can her hip-hop alias “Viva” be heard on over 60 albums, But Genevieve also writes lyrics and music for fellow artists. Her Choo Choo Soul version of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" will be released on The Playhouse Disneymania CD in August of 2007 on Disney Records.
