Geoff has just received Jan/2009 'An Honorable Mention Award' from the International Songwriters for his latest single 'A Change in the Wind',featured on his new EP, RED EARTH, to be released here at CDbaby shortly.

Geoff Johnson is a singer/songwriter from Saltfleet, a small coastal village in Lincolnshire, England.

He found his love of music around ten years ago after writing his first few songs; he then tried his hand at mixing and production,and never looked back.

He moved to Attadale near Perth in Western Australia about two years ago, carried on writing and decided he had enough material to produce his (debut) albumn.

‘Still Waters’ is the product of his spare time over that period.

His music is a mix of vocals, acoustic guitars, orchestration, brass section and one or two instruments you may not readily recognize.

His obvious love of orchestration, including, cello, French horn and strings flow out in songs like…..
'How Things used to be'
A song telling how a coal miner copes with loosing his job,after all the mines close down in England,
and how it affects his relationship.

The CD has eleven original songs mainly ballads with beautifully crafted lyrics that could only have been written from personal experience.

Geoff has managed to capture the feeling of the obvious strain in a failing romance.
