Album Notes

Music seems to be in constant motion - in time, in space, historically, geographically. The African Diaspora leading to the opportunistic migrations from the Delta to Chicago. The gypsy paths from India to Andalucia. Spanish vaqueros transplanted to the fincas of Hawaii. Obsessed folk pickers zigzagging across America. Steered by epiphanes and holocausts, it is always gathering and processing the rich data of humanity.

This recording is my celebration of these events, both beautiful and cataclysmic, as we are an amalgam of things gathered along the road to our own voice. If it works, we become a tiny part of the story and we share the wealth of the whole.

That boy will not rest: "It's in him an its got to come out".
author: Skeets Markingham
Not your everyday volume 2 of anything, including CDs and diasporas..a restless flash of musical sculpture that hangs in the air before your eyes and ears and morphs delicately like smokerings..but the meatass is on the scene as well and in it's stongest moments - notes speak volumes yet to be written and an island of staved sound surfaces on the horizon..the guy has a God given talent as sweet as any nectar and as soothing as the vermillion found in the sky very near sundown..if there is anybody on the planet that swings on a 'classical' guitar it's G. Lee..6 string wandering bodasatva late of the Manasquan River Basin.

A Classical Crossover delight!
author: Andrew Stranglen
An impressive collection of original tunes is gathered here by Geoffrey Lee, Classical-based fingerstyle guitarist. I especially liked Track 2 - "Pressed For Time", but found myself equally impressed with most of the other tracks. Lots of short-forms here, but they are sections within larger works - (small poems), (Suite Alpujarra). Nimble fingers to excite the listener of solo-guitar instrumentals. -Andrew Stranglen, fellow cdBaby artist: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/stranglen1

The essence of this CD is the range of emotions and feelings it evokes. I can honestly say listening to this work has altered my way of viewing my relationship with my own music and my day to day dealings with my fellow terrestrial inhabitants. It is a work of sheer delight and of genius. -Bobo
