Album Notes

Guitarist/bassist George Kerby began performing at age fifteen when he teamed with high school classmate, and future Brainstorm funk and jazz virtuoso guitarist Gerald Kent to form a band. Since then, he has performed with such diverse artists as:

Muruga Booker (percussion: P-Funk, Wayne Shorter, Merle Saunders, Jerry Garcia)
Alex Carlin (guitar/keys: Psycotic Pineapple)
Frank Isola (drums: Charlie Parker,Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan)
Wayne Hartman (pedal steel: Afghan Whigs)

Bobo Jenkins (blues pioneer)
Ralph Koziarski (reeds/percussion)
Ted Lucas (The Original Detroit raga rocker)
Juanita McCray (blues diva)
Alesia Panajota (West Coast vocalist/recording artist)

Mack Pitt (saxophone: Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw)
Perry Robinson (clarinetist/composer: Archie Shepp, Charlie Haden, Pete Seeger)
Badal Roy (tabla master: John McLaughlin, Miles Davis, Yoko Ono)
Peter Madcat Ruth (Grammy Award-winning harmonica player)

For this project, George steps up to the microphone to sing a series of tightly-crafted originals. He is joined by friends Muruga Booker, Peter Madcat Ruth, longtime colleague Keith Buchanan, and more. Also featured is a rare LIVE track by The Ghost Band, a Detroit underground institution. Mastered by Motown alumnus Bob Dennis, with artwork by Carol Lynch (Lynchworks), this CD is guaranteed to raise a smile!
