ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
George Kilby Jr. has taken his music from the road-houses of the Southeast to festivals of Scandinvia. His sound has been called everything from New Orleans R&B to Alternative Country. Born in Alabama, and residing in New York, Kilby is highly visible in the Northeast and across Europe. . “Let the Melody Live On” will follow up the widely successful “Road Dogs Holiday.” Kilby stands firmly with one foot in tradition while still managing to break enough rules to keep the material fresh and smart. His 20 year association with blues legend Pinetop Perkins and his appearance on this album lends Kilby credibility but never a crutch. Guest musicians from Railroad Earth, BBQ Bob and the Spareribs, the Tom Tom Club, to name a few, also add great touches and will continue to increase his ever growing fan base.
