Boyhood musical friends, John A. Walsh, David George, Jeff George, and Steve McCarthy reunited in 1996 and formed studio band George’s Attic. Life intervened and had taken each of them in different directions for the previous 15 years; fortunately, circumstances brought them back together to pick up where they had left off.
Between 1996 and 2002, George’s Attic recorded three albums of completely original music: “Chasing Down the Wind,” “Torments of Vanity,” and “Cobalt Blue.”
David George and John A. Walsh continue to record to this day. John A. Walsh’s “Songbook” was released in 2003, and their new incarnation, "The Fossils," released "Eon Rising" in 2007.
“Cobalt Blue” is the seminal George’s Attic recording and likely the last. From the rocking opener/title cut to the powerful closing tribute to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy, “On this Turning World,” the listener will find this record completely satisfying.

Cobalt Blue

I recieved this album shortly after it's release and have played it steadily ever since! From the title cut to the end is inovative, with deeply felt lyrics and explosive but classic guitar work that meets or exceeds any other music to be found. My favorite song on the disk is Unwritten story - I find the lyrics almost haunting with their facing of reality and the obvious hearfelt life experiences that could cause one to produce such words.
That isn't to say the remaining songs aren't just as arfully written, but "Story" catches my heart the most
When you find writers of this caliber and ad the instrumental expertise of each of the members there is no way true musical art is not going to happen. I rank this particular group right up there and find their artistry reminiscent of my all-time favorite band, the Eagles.
Having spent time as a professional musician and also as an agent for a professional group I feel these guys could literally explode onto the national/worldwide scene should they desire. wonderful music!
