\"If you\'re interested in hearing music that is original and fresh, then look no further than George Shaw...to catch a glimpse at the future of film music with this young composer\'s work.\"
- Tom Hoover, Score Notes
Legendary Warriors is full of epic themes, meditative music, and pounding drums. It blends cinematic orchestra with traditional instruments from China and Japan, including erhu (Chinese fiddle), bamboo flute, guzheng (Chinese string zither), taiko drums, and many more.
Inspired by his love of martial arts films from Asia, George Shaw, a young and talented Asian-American film composer, set out to compose music that would evoke images of warriors from the past.

author: Kristoffer Gair
I have become a fan of Asian cinema over the past decade due to having a partner who is half Chinese. While stereotypes exist about martial arts films, one need simply look a bit closer to discover the depth and artistry of what appears on the screen. In this case as with others, it's also about what you hear. George Shaw's Legendary Warriors is a soundtrack in which one creates the action in their own mind as guided by the music. Each selection is unique, yet works together as a whole. The instruments have been chosen with reason, add to the texture of the soundscape the composer has in mind and the end result is something listeners will find themselves going back to for many repeat listens.
