Captivating story songs from NJ singer/songwriter

As a singer/songwriter myself, I find The Lights of Brigantine both humbling and inspiring. The songs here are gritty and real, the performances inspired and honest. While I'm landlocked some 5 hours away from Monmouth County, I feel the details and descriptions and characters here and I'm back "down the shore." There is not a track here that I skip over, with personal favorites this week being the title track and Cross the Wide Missouri. And Old Dancing Fool is sweet without being saccharine - a fine line to walk, and one George does successfully. I first heard about George from a mutual friend, Abbie Gardner, and she commented 'I think you'd like him a lot." 'deed I do! Highly recommended for fans of folky acoustic singer/songwriters.
