Green Eggs And Pentagrams was the second of the four Georgia Home Boy albums, originally released in early 2000. This album predominantly featured Todd Zombie on lead vocals. His deep, loud bellowing vocals and screeching guitar solos turned the band even more in the direction of Metal. The band's debut album, Candy Cigarettes had a more pop feel, despite containing controversial, anti-establishment lyrics.
Lyrically and musically, Green Eggs and Pentagrams focused on horror movie, Satanic, and violent themes. Through NNMaddox's pounding drumbeats, Reverend Jenkins' spooky violin solos, and Jimmy Haig's haunting church organ, GHB found itself among the top heavy metal bands in New Orleans.
Each member of the band contributed lead vocals, a concept that frontman NNMaddox was originally concerned about. On "Dayclubbin'," Reverend Jenkins, unleashes his fury over an orchestral/dance masterpiece. "Klaus Nomi Is Dead" and "Elizabeth Ryan Is Waiting" has Jimmy Haig on lead, while "Criminals And Villains" is sung by NNMaddox.
In January 2000, Georgia Home Boy was on top of the world. In less than two years, it would all be over, and Jimmy Haig would be dead as a fuckin' doornail.
