Album Notes

Georgia Wonder are Stephanie Grant (vocals) and Julian Moore (music).

They describe their music as The Carpenters driving Tom Petty to an R.E.M. gig but getting crushed under the wheels of Pink Floyd's tour bus while arguing over whether to listen to 'Love Shack' by the B52's or 'Go your own way' by Fleetwood Mac.

Initilly picked up by the legendary 'whispering' Bob Harris who played their demo's twice in two weeks on his BBC Radio Two saturday night show, Georgia Wonder recently supported Simply Red's Mick Huckanll on a sell out 7 date UK tour culminating with two dates at London's Ingig02 at the dome. They were warmly received by Simply Red fans both through the Simply Red forums and the gigs themselves, at which they won new admirers and signed an awful lot of CDs.

PRESS QUOTES

Georgia Wonder - 'The Girl You Never Knew' : A hypnotic and beautiful blubfest...
This track, a hauntin' & beautiful ballad about sad stuff, is one Grey's Anatomy soundtrack appearance away from being an international hit single. It also comes with one of the best videos we've seen all year..
- Pop Justice : Song Of The Day

'Genius' is so simple and breezily happy you could kiss it and even despite one of their tracks being called 'Two Weeks To Live' they still manage to make sadness sound so bloody uplifting - all said and done pick of the bunch is the tenderly introspective 'Falling Down' which with deft slight of hand will reach within and lay siege upon your heart'
- hip USA indie mag 'Losing Today'
