Here . . . Put This On, is an example of the band's "right in the chops" approach to presentation. It contains three swingin original compositions alone with hard-hitting arrangements of tunes composed and performed by such legends, as Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis.

Composer / Trumpeter Guymon Ensley, formed the band in 2001. In a time when established jazz "groups" are scarce, GEQ is that rare gem that plays classic jazz, be-bop and nu-jazz music of the highest artistic quality. The group continues to deliver, setting standards in musicianship and professionalism. The band’s high energy has been compared respectfully to the likes of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and the John Coltrane and Miles Davis ensembles and has received acceptance from worldwide audiences.
