Outside, in the middle of the night, blanketed by stars. Thinking.
Someone scraping by to make a living. A couple wanting to believe in Love. Work on it. A Sufi rings the bells of mindfulness. Youngsters developing identity. A wise man. A woman with pale skin and blond hair drives her car towards something in the dark. A girl humming a song, while stroking her boyfriend’s cheek. A singer thinks his final breakthrough is near, but gets screeched at by a couple of bats. Somebody recites a poem by a fire in the woods, as a fox returns to his shelter under the guidance of a distant cry produced by night birds echoing through the trees. Memories of things one’s sure of they’ve never happened. The feeling of being able to teach the world how to sing, but not knowing where to start. A party where everybody forgets about time.
A tall, young man. Feeling like a thousand songs with a guitar in his hands, with insecurity playing background music. A hard day’s work. An old woman folding paper flowers. A mother on social security banging on the walls, while on the other side a happy family is making postcards. Just someone. Inspired. Crazy. Universal. The taste of wine and madness. The smell of fruits. Friendship and Love.
Especially Love.
