Album Notes

Gerome, as a young boy, picked cotton and plowed the fields in Durant, MS and attended L.A.C. School in Lexington, Mississippi.
At the age of 17, he moved to North Carolina and worked in tobacco fields and moved back to Durant, MS. Gerome then got a job in Jackson, MS where he later moved, and worked at a chicken factory. In 1962, Gerome won a talent contest a the Blue Nose Club in Jackson, MS for $25.00.

In 1965 moved to Milwaukee, WI where he worked at washbowl factory for 38 years. In Milwaukee, he met Mr. Johnny Rawls and started his music career. Johnny took him under his wing, and began taking him on the road with him. Gerome's music career spans 20 years. 1 CD single in 1993 titled "A Woman Is A Strange Thang" Part 1 + 2. 3 previous CDs titled "Walk In", "Steppin Out", and "Gerome Durham". Gerome's recent performances include: 930 Blue Club in Jackson, MS; Morgan Freeman place in Clarksdale, MS; Starlight's Lounge in Sterling,IN; Buddy Guy's Legend in Chicago, IL; Edge of Town in New Alb; Checker's in Cedar Rapid, Iowa; Pomeroy Blues Festival in Pomeroy, OH.
