Album Notes

Its not the singer, it's the song. In Greg Gardner's case it's both. This twenty year old folk singer/songwriter has a lot to prove, but he has the will and determination to do it.

Greg draws influences from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams, Jackson Brown, the Rolling Stones and many others. Greg's father was also in the "business" and several of his songs were recorded by award winning performers, so music has been flowing through Greg's veins since the day he was born.

His parents bought him his first guitar when he was 8 and by age 11 he was performing at school functions and social events covering songs by Elvis and the Beatles. He started writing his own songs in his early teens and after his high school rock band fell apart, he developed a loyal fan base in Winnipeg as a genuine singer/songwriter by playing a variety of coffee houses, bars, fundraisers and making several appearances on a local television station.

After signing with Absurd Machine in the summer of 2004 Greg started preparing material for his debut full-length album, which released in June 2005 on Absurd Machine Records.

For Greg Gardner, it's about the singer and the song, and its only a matter of time until everyone is singing along.

This kid is great!! No, it's not because I used to listen to his dad sing in the early 80's, although it does prove that talent is in the genes. No, it's not because he was my daughter's date at their Grade 9 grad and no, it's not because he used to sneak beer into my house when the kids partied............ It's because he's one talented guy that's going to go a long way in the music business. Congrats Greg. You're following your dream and you're making it happen. You da man!! Buy this CD people. You'll be glad that you did.
