GHOST's new ultra-funk sound is the straight out of St Louis vocals of G. Rhymes with Mychael Bates' sounds of Brooklyn's mean streets on guitar...powered by the pure soul of J. D. Bass and the prodigy funk drums of gentleman, scholar, acrobat. . . "Poppin' fresh", Lyle D. plus the rabble rousing vocals of Paul Benshoof and the Get Ghost Crew. In the midnight hour, they put down hot new cuts for their second album, "The Get Down", at their own production studio, Get Ghost Music.

"You got a story to tell, G.?" opens "The Get Down", GHOST's self-produced second album. And they got a lot of stories to tell. "Welcome to the Get Down" starts the party, followed by the sensual seductiveness of "Be Yours Tonight" and "Baby". "Take a Trip" goes around the world and "Dance Hall" stays deep in L.A. "Rise Up", a universal people's anthem, rocks, and the cover of "Love is Alive" lights up "All the Time". GHOST told all these stories at their sold out record release party at The Gig. "The Get Down" has ten new tracks and features guest appearances by The REPS, Shotgun Radio, Kacee, Urban Family Dog, Jimnastics, and Victor Dean.

GHOST's dynamic performance has set L.A. ablaze in a string of sold out shows. L.A. has caught the funk fever of GHOST live at The Gig, The Viper Room, The Whiskey, The Key Club, Dragonfly, Club Aura, Club Lingerie and more. Touring up and down the California coast, GHOST has played out with White Star at San Francisco's famous Slim's, appeared with Guru at the legendary Troubador, lit up Palm Springs at The Kickstand and then returned to The Gig in Hollywood to play with The Wylde Bunch, Urban Family Dog and Getlicious.

GHOST's first self-produced album "For Your Soul" includes their hit club jam "Naked", featured as the anthem in the movie "Sweet Potato Pie". Their tune "Rise Up" is in the film "Out on Parole". This album put the soul back in West Coast Funk. This eclectic mix of funk, soul and hip-hop scored a 9 out of 10 star review from Taxi for their single "Saturday Night", which also features The R.E.P.S. has earned them radio play on indie stations from San Francisco's K.P.O.O. FM to Australia's "Flavor in Ya Ear Show" on 88.1 FM.

GHOST recently received an amazing review from Ben Nachman in L.A.'s Music Connection Magazine... "The perfect party sound track.
