Southern Rock Lives

Ghost Riders members are a who’s who of Southern Rock which makes them the perfect band to carry on the genre. Hence there are lots of big riffs, catchy choruses, superb solos and a variety of influences which resurrect the spirit of the Outlaws and .38 Special.
The packaging is sparse but the songs should all be hits, which is what it’s all about anyway.
A duet with Gretchen Wilson on It’s Only Money is a highlight and a treat on a CD which is very sweet through and through, though several tracks appeared on their last CD.
But new songs like Bad Reputation, Dr. Cut Right, the funk fueled Travelin’ Light, and my favourite, the acoustic powered, beautiful and singable Amie (which features great Outlaws/Blackhawk style vocal harmonies) make Fortune Teller 2.0 worth picking up, though I could have done without the two ballads, That’s All She’ll Ever Need and There’s No Limit.
