Album Notes

Bored, pissed off, killing time in Purgatory. That was the five tormented souls of The Ghosts until one dank, moisty night in the year 2000 AD they decided to take sheet-cloaked human form in San Francisco and become entertainers. To their disappointment, the Vaudeville scene had long died out, but Grim Horror-Again (singing), Scarold Victim (guitar), Heat Deader (organ), Jangly Shock (bass), and Mike Dead (drums), picked up some "rock and roll instruments" and began to deliver a demented assault of creepy garage rock. Horror-Again's lyrical delivery is never short of violent agony as he sings about murder, intent to murder, preparation for murder, being dead, drug dealing, and of course, pimping.

The Ghosts released their debut album, A Hatchetful Of Secrets, on Halloween 2002. Although it has been deemed by many as "an attack on humanity" and "a sonic atrocity", the band insists it's "pretty good."

Fun band, sadly disbanded. Didn't take themselves too seriously but still decent musicianship/production. Like I said if The Cramps are your thing this is pretty damn good.

I have to agree with the band, It's "pretty good". I only gave it three stars cause' they've got some room for improvement, but I knew what I was getting myself into and I must admit, I really enjoyed it.

This CD rules! We're huge fans. I got the CD about a week after ordering it so that was cool. We've asked the Ghosts if we can feature their belligerent vocal stylings in our upcoming short film, Raised By Crows. Jaysus God, we love this band!
