Dude does it to it

Twice I've had the pleasure of seeing Giacomo play some or all of these songs live in San Francisco. The album is a fantastic collection of songs, and it only serves to stoke my excitement more and more for his performances. He has an incredible tremolo, as witnessed on "A Hundred Days." And as he closes the album and his sets with "How Good it Would Be," I always have to ask "If...?" I usually answer with "If I had a car with a cd player so I could listen to this while traveling. I mean, the songs augment many moods and I feel that my prospective road trips would be much more emotionally fulfilling if I did have a car with a cd player. Right mom?"

author: Dave Keir
Virtuosity, power and delicacy of touch are everywhere herein. The sheer joy in music making is evident throughout and is underpinned by Giacomo’s unfailing sense of line and dynamic control. Tunes of subtle and infectious syncopations abound and are interlaced with delicately phrased and contemplative harmonic musings. Suberb melodic invention is displayed by the introspective Embers In the Fireplace and Genteel while the quirky turns of Dealing With Rejection are smile inducing. The perfect blend of virtuosity, melody, and heart
author: Don Henderson
Giacomo Fiore has created a CD that has a degree of beauty, depth, maturity, and focus that most artists would be lucky to attain after a lifetime spent mastering their instrument. When you consider he was a mere 21 years old when he recorded it, you find yourself even more in awe of what he has accomplished. Unlike some virtuoso performers, Fiore always maintains a strong sense of melody and order in his compositions, and never plays merely for the sake of showing off. This makes the entire disc a joy to listen to. If you want to hear beautiful, ego-free music by a man who is just beginning to show the world what he's capable of, look no further than this CD.
