Hey, how goes it? First off, I'd like to thank you for stopping by. I'm Mike Gibbons. I'm from Middle Village, NY. I've been playing cutting edge rock guitar for over 20 years. The primary objective of my songs is to provide open-minded people with well written, melodic music. Music for the selective person, so to speak.
I have a long and charted history behind me which includes recording, performing, and touring world wide. I've shared the same stages with some of the biggest and best names in speed metal and hardcore music. I could keep on going, but I'm probably boring the shit out of you by now, if not impressing the shit out of you (just kidding).
I've just released a new solo CD with some pretty excellent music on it. Click on the feature to hear some of it. It's solid music, cutting edge with very melodic characteristics included in each song. This is how I write music. It's the only way I know. And it's the only way to go for dinosaurs like myself. You know, the whole "struggling musician thing" blah, blah, blah.
For the music lover, it's just really good music. It's better music than the crap we've all been getting shoveled down our throats these days.
Help support the Michael Gibbons Movement. Many will be thankful, and of course it's greatly appreciated. Thanks for listening.
MIKE

Just like the rock I used to hear....

After the rock guitarists got elbowed off of MTV, I wondered where they all went. Well, one of them ended up here. The guitar work on this album is top-notch, a reflection of real musical skill and very nice to listen to. The lyrics, at times, almost seem to get in the way, but aren't problematic - as far as lyrics go, they're sufficient. Musically speaking, this is a real treat. If I were looking for some tracks to help build a soundtrack (for almost any genre) a couple of these would certainly make the list.
