Album Notes

Patrick (Paddy) Gibney was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 25, 1968. He came to the United States in 1987 on a soccer scholarship at the prestigious Fayetteville Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina and went on to graduate magna cum laude from Methodist College, also in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He completed graduate school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and soon thereafter decided to follow his dreams of becoming a songwriter/singer/guitarist.

Paddy Gibney is currently teamed up with Bill Ayerbe, a very talented, classically trained violinist/fiddler. Bill is originally from Jersey City, New Jersey - just across the river from New York City. He studied at the notable Ukrainian Institute of America in New York City and attended New York University and Creighton University in Nebraska. After a stint in the US Army he remained in the Fayetteville, North Carolina area. Bill is also the concertmaster for the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Cumberland Oratorio Society in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Paddy & Bill are currently located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They are playing to packed houses in the North and South Carolina area. Their music spans a very wide range from moving ballads to rock and ribald pub songs. The pub songs, notably The Pussy Cat Song, Alice, Seven Drunken Nights, etc, draw a very large following from the local college community and from the military community at nearby Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base. Their fan base is now extended worldwide due to the connection to these installations.

They have 4 CD albums to their credit and also 1 CD single and 1 audio cassette tape. Their second CD album, Live-Love-Now, is all original songs written by Paddy Gibney. The CD single, Diana, is also an original song written by Paddy Gibney. All proceeds from the Diana CD are donated to the British Deaf Association. The remaining 3 CD albums - Uncircumcised, Live at the Radisson, and One Drunken Night - and the cassette tape, Live at the Shanakee, are live recordings.

Live-Love-Now is an album of all original songs written by Paddy Gibney. Visit the Paddy Gibney website for additional information.

REVIEWS

An album that haunts the soul and captures the imagination!
author: Debbi Voisey
Some of the best songs ever written are on this CD. If you feel down, play it. If you feel up, play it. There are some beautiful love songs, dealing with some sadness but lots of hope, and some fabulously uplifting "rockers" that are guaranteed to put a smile on your face. I love "Let It Out" and "Destiny" and, in my mellow moments, "She Is Love" and "When Will It End." Not since U2's "Boy" has a first album been so lyrically, musically and technically brilliant!

Lyrically Brilliant, Musically Beautiful

A very pleasent surprise if you are familliar with his live performances. There are no covers on the whole album and Paddy's true talent becomes apperant. I was expecting the production to be somewhat poor because of a lack of big record label money, however, the album sounds as rich and full as anything I've ever heard.

Super album. Not one bad song in the lot (a rarity).
author: Laura Harper
Overall, I think this album is purely music from the soul. I think it would be impossible for anyone to write songs of such quality without exposing their inner self. Each and every song seems to focus on very personal issues which indicates that this is a man with a very broad view of life. With such passion and emotion in his first songwriting attempt, it is very apparent that this young man will make a very significant mark in the music world in the years to come.
