Album Notes

Gidigidi Majimaji is a new musical group that is based in Kenya (East Africa), well known for their Afro/centric musical beats.
The group was founded in 1999 and formed by Julius
J. A. Owino aka Majimaji and Joseph Ogidi Oyoo aka
Gidigidi.
They recorded their first song " Ting Badi Mallo" which was an instant hit in most parts of the world. They quickly rose to fame and commanded a good following in East Africa.

Their debue album "Ismarwa" (in English means "Its ours")includes 19-tracks and six interludes Recorded in Kenya by Tedd Josiah a well known producer in the Kenyan music scene.
The album expresses a strong African young mind and
Urges the youth to gracefully embrace their culture
with pride. It has sold more than 10,000 copies.

The group has rose to international status and has represented Kenya in various cultural Festivals in East Africa and beyond.
