THE GIFT – BIO

The road we travel through life is sometimes lonely, sometimes exciting, smooth at times, and, paved with adversity at others. There are changes that trip us up and burdens that pull us down. Through it all, the constant is the everlasting presence of God, for those who are His children. He is our shelter in life’s storms, and, a solid rock in our lives foundations. His son, Jesus, is The Gift. He has everlasting, unconditional love for us, and is always there. He has the sweet mercy and grace to forgive us when we fail. Through faith in Him, we have hope and a fulfilled life. Where the world leaves us empty, Jesus lives through us and makes life so much better.
The Gift has diversity. The members have a range of musical experience with
various other bands and genres. Also, the members attend various churches. The music reflects this diversity as the writing is done collectively. The lyrics are straight to the point and are doctrinally correct .The Gift’s music is hard to put into a nice neat box. We are a rock-and-roll band. Blues, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s rock. That’s our signature sound. Our diversity and reliance on God’s providence is our appeal and strength.
This is what we believe. This is what we sing about – The Gift – from God. We can scale it back to lead worship, do an acoustic set, and turn it up and be in your face. Our Heavenly sound comes “through” a Marshall stack, a Les Paul, or a Strat. , but the music comes “from” Heaven. Ministering to people in need is our calling and we do it through music. Whether in a church service, music festival, coffee house, or prison yard, we will represent The Gift through our music.
