Gigio Cordova is a breath of fresh funk. The 20-year-old emcee has a deep respect for the Hip Hop culture, and the genius and passion of the innovators who laid down the foundation for him. Hailing from Northern California, by way of Fairfield (home of The Federation), Gigio brings a wide variety of complex flows and fresh vocabulary for his clever rhyme schemes. Conceptually, not only does Gigio do his job as an emcee - connecting catchy melodies with deep subject matter, ranging from life stories, to social injustice, and spiritual identity, he is also able to embrace his skill as a song writer with ease. As an artist, being creative and spontaneous is second nature for Gigio, when you think you have him boxed in a category (backpack, political, alternative, conscious), he\'ll drop a track that will have you re-calculating his role as an emcee. His sophomore album Church Musick is set to release Fall 2008, following his debut album Something Wicked This Way Comes (2007), which earned him a feature on mp3.com \"Up and Coming\" Artists section.
