(About MP3 downloads at CD Baby)

A collection of healing chants designed for deep relaxation using ancient percussion, harp and violin, and free-flowing vocals. Ancient Healing & Transformational music, medically proven to lower stress, blood pressure, increase focus and quality of sleep

notes

The healing use of voice and rhythm by women is a 3,000 year old tradition. From the beginning of time, infants have been soothed by the soft, crooning quality of the human voice. Both babies and adults are reassured and calmed by rhythmic, repetitive sounds that remind them of things they heard in the womb.

Noam, Healing Lullabies represents a new contribution to the field of sound healing: distinct lullabies that have proven themselves effective for calming nerves and focusing awareness. The overall effect leaves the body grounded and relaxed. Each of the seven tracks on this recording is designed to activate one of the seven centers.

These seven exotic and wordless lullabies are designed to relax frazzled adults and to help babies sleep. Each piece concentrates upon one of the seven main energy centers (chakras). The soothing vocals, Eastern percussion, harp & violin relaxes the listener as they balance polarities and cleanse the chakras. The vocals are intentionally wordless. This conscious use of voice bypasses the intellect allowing the listener to connect with a deeper level of consciousness. There is no limiting factor of language.

The effect of voice and rhythm on humankind is paramount to healthy living existence. Voices of Eden music combines voice, rhythm and music as a natural healer, such was used in biblical times. King David used the harp to soothe a raging Saul in time of war. The walls of Jericho came tumbling down, through the conscious use of sound.

Noam, means "tenderness" in Hebrew, and refers to the affirmative in Arabic. It reflects the quality and intent of the music as well as the musicians in the ensemble who are a real and practical example of harmonious co-existence. They are Jewish and Arab and Christian... creating together in peace through
the affirmative power of tenderness...

WOW! This CD reaches deep inside and brings a calmness and inner healing to my being. I don't know how it works, but just when you think you've heard all the New Age music there is, Noam comes along and takes you to a place you didn't know existed inside of yourself. A must have!

  • I bought it as a baby shower gift & a Chanukah present for my niece.

I thought it seemed a lovely baby gift. Both the people I bought it for are pregnant & I thought they might enjoy the CD. I did not listen to the CD. I just wanted to help Feed the Children and buy 2 baby gifts. Thank you

  • genuine and soothing
    author: Jackie Wilson

This disc is wonderful in that we play it over and over to help put our baby to sleep, and we don't get sick of it. The instruments and vocals have integrity...no cliche, "spa" type relaxtion stuff, but real, genuine vibes of peace and relaxation. The artist's vocals range from soothing to playful (I feel) and I enjoy even having it in my head during the day!

  • Good for our preemie at home and at work
    author: Daniel Sontaire

I heard this music performed live at a pediatric conference (I'm a medical doctor). It relaxed me so much, that I purchased two copies, one for the hospital clinic where I work and one for our prematurely born son, newly arrived at home. At the hospital I am a better and more focused doctor for my patients. This in turn calms them. We all benefit. At home my son goes right to sleep as soon as we play the CD. Keep up the good work. I would love to hear you live again. Please keep me updated of your whereabouts. Dr. Daniel Sontaire

  • great for baby and masage
    author: Nicole

I think this cd is great. I bought it to play for my 5 month old at naptime and bedtime. I really think it helps. I'm also a massage therapist and am playing it for my clients. It seems to help them let go of the outside world. Now if I only had time to play it for myself!

  • Love it
    author: Heather

I bought this for our very high strung 10 month old who had a hard time settling down for nap time. Now we play this cd for an hour before nap or bed time and she goes down with no fuss. I also bought this cd for my mother in law who is a massage therapist and she loves it also. She plays it to provide a claming enviroment for her sessions. She says she does just play it around her house because it is such a beautiful sound. Thanks Heather

  • Noam is one of my favorite CD's of all time.
author: Annette Reynolds, MPS, RN, ATR-BC

Noam is one of my favorite CD's of all time. As a labyrinth facilitator, I have played it to enhance the participant's labyrinth meditation and walk. Someday, I want to be able to play the frame drum, as well.

  • Great if you can put it on in a quiet environment, worth trying to organize some
    author: Judy Montel

This cd is full of good calming sorts of sounds, especially when it is already quiet, like at bedtime. I tried to put it on during the day when I knew I was distracted and it doesn't quite cut through the "static" - so turn down the lights, get the baby all set and ready to be soothed (easier said then done sometimes, eh?) and put it on to ease everyone from the yammering of the day into a peaceful sleep. If you have time to meditate, use it by all means!
