Neal is a powerhouse of songwriter. With pinpoint accuracy he is able to zero in on each song’s topic and nails every tune’s theme with a command of his prose. Emotive and heartfelt, “Beast” is full of cool grooves, slinky vamps and clever melodies. Spend some time with this disc. You will be rewarded.
