Gilbert Yslas discovered the love of music at the age of five.
In grammar school his father gave a strong discipline ethic
in that his love to play baseball had to wait until he had practiced his music. This would be the discipline to open the door to Gil's gift when he picked up the guitar.
Years later Gil is actively working as a full time musician in the greater Seattle area. He is a versatile guitarist, producer,songwriter, and engineer. He is currently working as a session guitarists producing music for himself
as well as independent album projects. He has also done
TV and DVD productions providing original compositions for
private companies.
He has released many albums throughout the years. He was
also CEO of his company Sundown Records for over 10 years.
His music is very atmospheric and haunting. His current album features 15 new tracks of original guitar music beautifully orchestrated and produced. His music paints a sweet melodic journey of lavish sensual guitar. The rich sound that comes from his guitar puts the listener
in spellbound trance revealing an inner spirit of love, peace and joy.

I liked the music

I liked the music very much in composision and style, it also plays very well as background music.
These tones are mostly unabtrusave and calm, but catch your attention ocationally, as if to remind you it is still playing. This is a good thing, without those little moments where you stop to listen, background music is forgetable and dull.

Liquid Blue transports me tp the Sublime.

I listened to Liquid Blue at least a hundred times while I lay in bed with a broken back. I just kept pushing play and left it on the machine. It transported me from the bed of pain to a place where I could float in ecstatic bliss. Gil's sensitive sweet music and his interpretation of the classic Ave Maria are worth listening to over and over.

Listening to Liquid Blue transports me to a relaxed alertness. The flowing style carries subtle changes in emphasis that awake my interest. The mood of Desolation Slide, for example, contrasts beautifully with Ave Maria. And the choice for the cover art fits perfectly with the poignant music. Bravo!
