The Prickly Willow Tree

by Gillie Claire

This, my second album, varies enormously - from the happy exuberance of dance and childhood magic to the universal yearning to let our forests grow. The first and last songs suggest a constancy in love even through death.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
A friend of mine suggested that Boudicca would be my archetype, and there is something in my nature, about jumping into the fray and using my own strenth, which does make me admire the battling nature of women.

The songs from my first album “Sand Island” are about searching for love, about battling for survival, coping with loss, and bringing children up to battle in their own way for the common good.

Yes, I love fashion and beautiful people, but women should be admired for their strength of character, and resourcefulness.
