Album Notes

My New York theatrical background makes singing and entertaining at the piano a natural.

Although classically trained, Sondheim's Broadway Baby tells my story.

As a solo entertainer I have the flexibility to interpret, select, write and often "wing" my own arrangements as I feel them .

I thrive at the challenge of engaging my audience, reading and working the room, feeling the energy and positive response of the various backgrounds and cultures, ultimately creating for them a memory.

This passion has led me to venues around the world.

My energetic, cabaret entertainment style at the piano seems to work just as well in Japan, Scandinavia, Guam, Bermuda, Canada, New York, San Diego - whether it be a concert, in a 5-star Hotel or on a Cruise Ship.

My audience "gets" that I am singing from my heart.

To produce a CD that demonstrates my ability to sell a song was a huge challenge.

For a recording, I felt I needed an additional dimension to my vocal styling; an accompanist who shares my musical style, sensitivity, creativity and playfulness.

Joe Fos was, for me, a perfect union.

His magical fingers replaced mine with a jazzy flair.

Stan Booth added depth with the Bass, and from the first rehearsal when Joe and my Gershwin Favorites were combined it was simply a natural progression of great tunes.

Adding my arrangement of Music Man's Lida Rose duet with Vinny Di Figlia was a great request from all my San Diego home town fans.

Roberto Valdez, the Gypsy, inspires any vocalist.

His violin sings in perfect harmonious tones.

His arrangement of Golden Earrings is forever a show stopper showing off his wonderful charda styles with the traditional gypsy finale.

I offer this recording as a memory for those who have seen me in person, and a personal invitation to those who have not.

It was created as a representation of an evening with Karen Giorgio.

I return to the piano, "Live" for the finale, Whistle Down the Wind which has become my signature song wherever I perform.
