Album Notes

Giovanni Perin, this young Italian vibraphonist, winner of several international contests presents his first discographic work as a band leader: a winning combination of his own original pieces and some from the classic American and Italian standard songbook rearranged for this occasion.

He is an eclectic artist able to draw up the frenetic jazz rhythm with a melodic research typical of the Italian culture in order to create a harmony of iridescent colours and emotions thanks also to the exceptional rhythmic section.

A special guest is Fabrizio Bosso and his trumpet, this refined musician who gives a magic touch to this project.

Giovanni Perin is accompanied by young rising stars of the Berlin jazz scene proud of the great international collaboration with Elias Stemeseder at the piano (protagonist of the New York trio directed by the batterist Jim Black), Igor Spallati , contrabass (who has recently played with the pianist Fred Hersch) and Tilo Weber, batterist (protagonist in important European festivals such as the Baltic Jazz Festival in 2011.

Giovanni Perin: Vibraphone
Elias Stemeseder: Piano
Igor Spallati: Double bass
Tilo Weber: Drums
Fabrizio Bosso: Flugelhorn (track 4) andTrumpet (tracks 1, 9).
