GIRARDI GIRARDI’s fourth CD, Line In The Sand, is outstanding! This is another world class record from this gifted and multi-talented couple. A year and a half in the making, once again, Steve and Sheila Girardi composed the songs, played all instruments, recorded, engineered, and produced the entire CD. The music that these Christian artists produce doesn’t fit the cookie cutter mold of today’s Christian music “Industry”.

Beginning with track 1, Your Love, has a contemporary edge with a melodic hook that pulls you right into a universal message for the ages. You’ll be singing along with the chorus without even realizing it!

The title track, Line In The Sand, is exceptionally bold and will “raise the hair on the back of your neck”. The words, “…The line in the sand is where we make our stand,” in the last chorus says it all. The hard edged chorus surprises the listener after the soft melodic verse but what a perfect fit. The song’s bridge is another pleasant surprise. What a great song!

And the CD proceeds, song after song, with intelligent and anointed lyrics of true hope, exciting keyboards, expert guitar work, melodies extraordinaire, beautiful vocals and superbly blended harmonies.

Whether it’s one of the driving songs like Believe What He Said, This I Know and The Road, or one of the few softer tunes like Miracles, Great Are You and I’ve Been Waiting, it’s refreshing to find an album these days where I like just about everything on it and which doesn’t sound like everything else out there. Big thumbs up!
