Album Notes

If Neal Gladstone were a recipe: you'd take one part Gilbert and Sullivan, two parts Gary Larson, season with Beatles, and finish with a dash of Will Rogers. Bake in Oklahoma for 17 years, transfer to the University of Chicago to get cool, sauce and serve in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon.

Writing in a variety of musical styles depending on the subject he's skewering, Gladstone has produced 5 CDs of satire, ballads, and rockers, on subjects ranging from the joys of oatmeal ("Oatmeal") to getting stopped by a cop ("Officer Bradford").

" Good schtick" - Billboard

"He is a thinking person's songwriter. His music tinted with intellectual irony, Gladstone surprises his listener with unexpected rhymes and melodic turns" - Folk Times

"Witty and lucid, Gladstone takes us on a free-wheeling romp through a variety of musical genres..." -Time Out

"Well-crafted lyrics set in memorable melodies..." -The Oregonian
