Beautiful, evocative, searching for remembrances of where we've been and how we've lost our way. The songs of The Glass Hour, interwoven in delicate acoustic harmonies, and in the same moment, filled with powerful electric undertones, brings us one step closer to a musical understanding of the inherent contradictions of love and life. Haunting, highly charged female vocals span more extreme ranges from high to low, mirroring the subconscious tensions and ironies of opposing emotions and personalities within us all. Overall, the mood and spirit of TGH will always contain that element of another age, a world out of time.

The Glass Hour formed in 2004 as harpist, singer, composer, Tracy DeMarco (Tracy K) sought to bring influences of progressive rock (Ed Nudd - guitar/drums) and classical guitar (Matt Schneider) to the underlying ambience of traditional folk harp melodies. The result was a new dance with "darkwave" as uniquely curious and intensely expressive as ever. "Amaranthine" is the trio's first full length release. After 2005, Ed and Matt went on to return to group and solo progressive rock recording and performing.

Since 2005, Tracy has played various solo harp, improvizational, and group engagements in the Chicago area. Other artists have joined Tracy's solo harp, vocal, keyboard recordings and performances in a move towards more orchestrated sounds, including progressive rock guitarist and keyboardist, Brian Bradbury (formerly of Grigori 3-chicago).
