Album Notes

"Surprisingly good." "Lyrically and musically rich." "This disc never seems to leave my player."

These are some of the ways Glenn Fink’s all-original first release, Hot Stoves Burn, has been described by people who have heard it. Fans trying to describe the sound have used Gordon Lightfoot, the Allman Brothers Band, Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond and Neil Young as benchmarks.

Heavy on acoustic guitars and piano, but also containing the occasional electric guitar or Hammond organ, Hot Stoves Burn has a feel not unlike albums released during the 1970’s by melodic rock bands.

Glenn Fink is a songwriter and performer based in Arlington, VA. Born and raised in the Boston area, Glenn began writing folk and rock-based material after hearing Neil Young perform. He plays piano and organ with his own 5 piece band, The Glenn Fink Band.

Mesmerizing chords. Haunted, smokey vocals. The album is a showcase of Fink's mastery of folk and rock traditions which he makes all his own. Glenn Fink is a true talent. We look forward to another album from this up and coming artist!

Excellent both lyrically and musically. Alternately folky, jammy, and poppy. Highly recommended.
