This album will take you places without even packing your bag, You will loose yourself in the glorious sounds of Glenn's Vocals and a variety of spectacular Instruments. It is a laid back, easy style that will sweep you away, only to be delighted and suprized when a mando or violin breaks in. This entire album pulled me back into the days of Don McLean and James Taylor. He has captured a whole world in this one 13 Track album. Superlative Accoustic and Electric Guitars are evident throughout "Snowblind". In fact, The mandolin , dobro and harp absolutely moves this Album over the edge. I thought Glenn French's "Timeless" was an excellent effort. But now hearing this "Snowblind" Album, I realize that Glenn French has come into his own. His strength put forward in these tracks are simply magnificent. You just couldnt ask more from the Lyrics. It is a celebration to the ears and I recommend it highly. I have chosen three tracks to tell you about here. Three tracks out of 13 splendid songs each and everyone. Seems sad. But I am not meant to write a book. Though I'm sure I could with this album. Let me start with; *** Snowblind - The Title track of this album. The intro grabs us immediately with an accoustic guitar and fiddle. Glenns gentle voice and the Mandolin speaking to our hearts. This is the kind of quality songwriting that gives us the memories to take us throughout this life. It speaks of how important is it to see what is sometimes, right in front of us, but is missed. To hold on to the people in your life that are important. Glenn French has mezmerized us with this song. Well Done !! *** The Last Indian - This song is a huge surprize to both the senses and the lyrics. Beautifully orchestrated ! It touches upon history, plight and lives of the North American Native People's. Glenn has captured the thoughts and feelings of a nation. This song is done with a strong sense of the true heart of Folk Genre. You will love the melody. *I would like to thank Glenn for this brilliant song, it has touched me personally and I know it will effect many others in the same way.* *** Watch The Wheel - Once again Glenn French has done an unforgettable job. This song is absolutely beautiful. He sings of life's ups and downs. How we can never know what road life will take us on. He is most likely singing about a personal experience, but it touches the listeners own experiences as well. These lyrics are well written and so true. The Instruments used on this track make "Watch The Wheel" timeless. Over and above all this, the guitar resonates softly behind Glenn's vocals and draws the listener in. This song is unforgettable. Im not sure if it is a flute or some other wood wind instrument that is used on this piece, but it polishes this wonderful song into something spectacular. Glenn French - Snowblind. 13 songs, 13 tales, a lifetime of joy. We are only what we experience. We take with us only what we learn from those experiences. Snowblind has done you proud Glenn French. Snowblind has done your fans proud as well. Your Momma is right. This is a brilliant Album, one of the best. Congratulations !
