Album Notes

Alright, yet another caffeine-addled guitarist from Austin, Texas. Playing the same old bebop influenced, blues-funk, Latin tinged jazz-folk stuff with traces of middle Eastern sounds and in-your-face Texas guitar tones; served up with a heaping spoonful of righteous melodies played over sweet harmonic progressions. An all original jazz power trio, caressing your face one moment, slapping it the next as they careen fearlessly through thick and thin. Having performed with everyone from sax legend Eddie Harris to violin/oud virtuoso Simon Shaheen, Glenn Rexach has been an Austin staple for 25 years, honing his guitar playing in everything from hard rock bands, blues bands, numerous Latin bands, to playing with practically every jazz artist in town, including Dr. James Polk, the Creative Opportunity Orchestra, Tony Campise, Brannen Temple, Doug Hall, and many others. Rexach brings all this and more to the table on ‘Living Joe to Joe,’ a stunning, recorded live in front of a studio audience recording. Catch the buzz.
