Tender Plant is the first offering from Glenwood Smith's Christian music songbook.
A compilation of 12 songs of love, hope, peace, forgiveness, and understanding, Tender Plant is an album of thanks and praise to the God of gods.

On Tender Plant Smith does just that, and not in any typical gospel or contemporary styles, but with powerful, driving and energetic compositions written across a diversity of musical genres to reach the young and the old as well as the believer and infidel together.
Smith is a former minister of music at the Rock Church of Petersburg and has performed at many churches and Christian events across the country.
But he sees too much of the message staying in the church, and not out on the street. So Smith writes music that can be presented to the people who need it the most, the people out in the world. And he performs these songs live and often, regardless of the venue or the crowd, and almost always to great response and comments.
"Christian music for the world" is what Smith calls his style of spiritual compositions, and Tender Plant upholds this concept as 9 of the 12 songs on this CD have appeared on Smith's previous secular recordings.
Smith isn't afraid to talk or sing about the hope of his salvation, and his message isn't compromised or watered down as the inspiration for his thought and lyrics comes straight out of the mouth of God, (i.e. the bible.)
