not too widdly!
author: Mr T Doofy
Now, I just don't dig celtic music as a rule, it's just too widdly diddly for me. And usually badly played. By drunks. So I was really supprised by this CD, it is fresh, simple and has a very slight rawness that enhances rather than detracts. The recording is excellent: I can hear texture and detail in the voices, at times hints of raspiness, and this really adds an emotional depth.
It's great to have my celtic music presumptions challenged...celtic music usually makes me groan and want to poke out my timpanic membranes. Great CD.
