Album Notes

GloryFront's 27 year-old David Gray is about to embark on his first national singer/songwriter tour.
Gloryfront's style is a combination of rockin’ acoustic guitar, similar to the Eagles, mixed with strong vocals and personal story-like lyrics found in Billy Joel songs, with just a pinch of punk edge. Gloryfront has a sound that appeals to the music lover at heart. Whether you're six or sixty, folk lover or rock enthusiast, you can't help but be captivated by his talent matched with his “guy next door” attitude.
He loves to play and entertain his audiences with good-hearted, up beat music and really believes in delivering a strong performance while keeping a humble stage presence.
Don't mistake this humility for lack of charisma or character. Gloryfront is full of personality suited to his feel good folk, punk, acoustic, rockin' guitar style.
He has spent the last few years making the rounds at the Philadelphia clubs. Playing such venues as The Grape Street Pub, Club 218, Silk City, The Pontiac Grille and The North Star Bar. Now, with the help of Philly indie label Curbside Records, Glory Front is ready to step out of the comforts of his hometown and venture out to see what this big world has in store for him.

"...the highlight was seeing david gray (not the chart-topping guy) for the first time. his songs, voice and musicianship were incredible. the best part was that he just looked like a regular guy off the street in pseudo lumberjack clothes and a sideways baseball cap. you'd expect someone who looks like that to be loading newspapers off of a truck, not being an artist. that kind of transformation to me is magic. he opens his mouth, plays his guitar, this beautiful music comes out and you completely forget what he looks like - you're just into the songs. i love that stuff."
-James Cuartero, Apple of Dischord

This disc just makes you feel good when you listen to it. The vocals are clean and polished, the lyrics are poignant and the guitar is crisp. An impressive debut EP - still you can tell this only scratches the surface of his potential!

The Dawning Awesomness

This cd is fantastic. The song writing is original yet has a familiarity that let you enjoy the cd from the first listen. David Gray's voice sounds fluid on a full band production as well as acoustic accompaniment. Cd is a must have.
