They're back! They're here! The Prodigal Sons from the ”Land of Ice and Snow” (Norway; that is!), have spent some four years in the making of their new 2008 album: Tales of Prodigal Sons, still bringing with them their now famous hard rocking 70s heritage moulded into the sounds of the 21st century.
After many years in the international music business, this four-piece, involved in pop, rock and progressive acts like “One2Many”, “Oceans Apart” and “Blind Orphans”, Jan Gisle Ytterdal (guitars), Sven Kaare Sunde (vocals, bass), Dag Veidal (keyboards) and Torbjørn Dybsand (drums) founded GLOW in 1996, and immediately took the live scene by storm, this resulting in their first promo-CD “So Hot – So What?” in 1999/2000.
Now, four years after their brilliant debut album “Flipside of Reality” (2003/2004) and dozens of great reviews from all around the world, the legacy continues: GLOW delivers hard melodic/symphonic progressive driving rock. The influences are still there; Led Zeppelin, U2, Genesis, but you still immediately hear the distinctive sound of GLOW: big guitars, big keyboards, big drums, great vocals swinging between Ian Gillan and Peter Gabriel.
Signing up with Brennus Music, France, in spring 2003, GLOW has proven their qualities with favorable comments from several of the leading music magazines around the world.
“ALL I KNOW” about GLOW, or “SO THE STORY GOES”, is that the “TALES OF A PRODIGAL SON”, have been on “THE MISSION”, “MISSING THAT LAST FINAL SCREW”. “WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS”, is not easy to tell, but I know that the “PIECES OF MY LIFE” can be altered by a “DEVILLE IN DISGUISE”, like a “WINTERSONG”, when “WE ALL LOOK DOWN”.
