A unique mix of music and lyrics from all over: the music is a bit of Elliott Smith , Guster, Eddie from Ohio, Toad the Wet Sprocket and some roots-Americana-pop in the Tom Petty/Tracy Chapman/Neil Young vein. The Lyrics: a mix of original and historical (and by that I mean anything in the public domain, ranging from 500 AD to the late 1800's). The genre is mainly acoustic folk-pop, with lots of hand drums, violin, recorders, keys, piano, and a mix of a few other things. There are also several original 'classical' pieces.
The songs suggest various moods, from joy to sadness, longing to resolution, introspective doubt to outspoken faith.
The CD's were recorded both at the church in a 'studio setting' and during the worship services (thus the names on the disc). Please note, they are mixed media - so if you pop one into a PC it will bring up a web page with information, credits, charts of the songs, and liturgies from Sunday services. You can play the CD with any media player

The music is uplifting and worshipful. I enjoy it even more as I am learning the songs. I really love the guitar and bongo drums, as well as the vocals. I also love the ability to download the lyrics and song sheets on my computer.

Music invites the listener to worship. Worthy of repeated play.
author: Lisa Wilkinson
Lyrics need to be digested slowly, a lot to take in but worth the investment. The spoken words were a bit distracting because of the difference in sound quality. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. Looking forward to more from these musicians.
