Album Notes

I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. I am related to the late "Roy Acuff" on my daddy's side of the family.
My mother and father were both educated in music. Mom played the piano and dad played the trumpet.
Aside from being a singer, I am a musician. I play the drums. I am also a composer, songwriter, and lyricist.
In 1990 I started a music publishing company (Van'Dowrion MusicCompany) and I have recorded several songs that I wrote, under my own record label.
In 1993 and 1994 I became a member of the Country Music Association ( CMA) and The Songwriters Guild in Nashville, TN.
I have worked with numerous musicians, and well-known entertainers as a studio musician and vocalist. Also, I have performed as a drummer and back up vocalist in several bands throughout the USA. Some of the bands were showcased with many of Nashville's top performers and entertainers.
In 1993, I performed in a showcase, at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN.
An Independent record label Silver Wing Records, was offering a recording contract and an album to the winner of the competition. I won the competition and as a result, I recorded the album, ("Woman In The Moon") now being played in the USA and in many countries, overseas.
Several songs on the album, including "You Didn't Burn That Bridge" , hit the top 10 Country Music chart, overseas and won me an award for "Outstanding Achievement" by the "International Country Music Broadcast Association".
