The CD takes you through the centuries of guitar music from Renaissance Spain and Baroque German masters to 20th century Brazil, Venezuela and Paraguay.
To the title 're-issued':
I had promised to re-issue a cassette (the 'Blue Cassette, 1990) after being harassed to do so for more than a year by parents telling me, that their child would not go to sleep without it. I had the good old master reel and added to the collection my two favourite tracks from an earlier LP 'Alte und neue Musik fur klassische Gitarre' (Lueneburg 1983): Weiss Fantasy and Dowland's Queen Elizabeth Galliard.
On the 1983 recorded pieces I play a 'Kohno 30' guitar, on the 1990 recording a guitar made by Juan Lopez Aguilarte (Granada, Spain). The beautiful timbre of the guitars comes out very well.
