"...a definite delight" -New Yorker Magazine
"...lyrical, atmospheric and ethereal...shades of Cowboy Junkies, Patty Larkin, Daniel Lanois...Great musical chemistry, beautiful singing." -a fan
Goats in Trees has been a big part of the music scene in New York City and other parts of the Northeast. Their CD, "When the Morning Comes", was a favorite of college radio and AAA stations, including WNEW New York (they are a long time regular on Vin Scelsa's weekly show "Idiot's Delight"), WPKN Connecticut, WAMH and WMHC Massachusetts, WFMU New Jersey, WNCS Vermont (The Point) and places faraway: radio Einz in Berlin, Germany.
MONICA CRIGLER Monica Ann Cohen moved to NYC from her hometown, Boston, to pursue a career in fine art and illustration. Soon she put down the brush and started painting with chords and melodies. Monica and Jason formed Goats in Trees soon after meeting in 1997.
