My name is Arthur Godfrey. I am a singer/songwriter from Boston now living in Nashville, T.N. I view myself as an Americana performer with a hard city twist engrained in my music. My goal is to try and paint a picture for the listener so vivid they can open up the door of the song, step inside and get as close as they dare. Seven of the eight songs on this CD are covers by some of my favorite Americana song writers: Woody Guthrie, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Steven Fromholz, Bruce Springsteen and two by John Prine.
