Goin' Down South Blues Sampler Vol. 2 is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Inside Sounds release Goin' Down South Blues Sampler, a collection of Mid-South blues artists. Opening with Robert Belfour's "Old Black Mattie," Vol. 2 is a comprehensive blues journey from the stark sounds of the Mississippi Delta to the electric blues of Beale Street. Most of the 17 tracks have never been released before and represent the heart and soul of Memphis blues. Phill Durham, from the legendary Memphis band Molloch, is heard on this CD for the first time as a solo artist. Rare performances from Big Lucky Carter, Mose Vinson, and Willie Foster are also included. The 6-page booklet includes artist descriptions along with contact information.
