Go Kart Mozart /gO-"kart mOt-"särt/ n pl [CONCORD, CALIFORNIA] 1: a high-energy indie rock band that has recently exploded onto the east san francisco bay area music scene. although go kart mozart has only been together since january 2007, within ten months the band will have performed live on fifty plus occasions, recorded and released a full-length album, and toured nationally through fourteen states – all done independently (in the truest sense of the word), without any help from a record label, booking agent, manager, or producer. the four members of go kart mozart (vincent lay: guitar/vocals, kevin ahmadi: guitar/vocals, shane delea: bass, and anna kremenliev: drums) are veterans to the scene, performing and recording locally for over eight years, and touring nationally in the hardworking independent bands kid moe and all heroes. the members of go kart mozart also promote local shows with their production company, smiling politely presents. since 2002 they have worked with over sixty bands and a dozen venues to promote some of the east bay area's hottest local rock shows. go kart mozart’s own brand of sing-a-long pop rock is most influenced by similar bands such as: weezer, green day, panic! at the disco, fall out boy and say anything 2: from blinded by the light by bruce springsteen: one who checks the weather chart in an attempt to see if it is safe to go outside
