Nice sample of authentic Jamaican Mento Music

Recordings of Jamaican Mento are hard to find, and this CD offers a way to experience living Mento. The video section is unique and shows what it might be like to see these guys live. One guy plays the rhumba box and maracas at the same time--I thought they forgot to credit the maracas player; but the video explains it!
