Album Notes

Golden Cities began when longtime friends Lance Higdon, Marcus Gausepohl and Nathan Heskia got together in the summer of 2007 on the basis of friendship, summer, and a love for cosmic sound. That summer, they recorded Grey Ghost #49 with John Sears. Shortly thereafter, during the annual Perseids Meteor Shower in August of 2007, they tracked what would eventually become their Self-Titled LP with Jeff Price at Hill View Studios. A year of meticulous mixing and editing resulted in the release of their album on Esotype Records in October 2008.

With Nathan Heskia currently studying at Emerson College in Boston, Golden Cities currently operates as a two-piece, bolstered by Rehberg the Laptop's enwombing bass drones. The Sounds they have produced are equal parts epic, cosmic and occasionally bordering on the transcendent.
