Album Notes

This is my first solo project which resulted from years of performing as a spoken word poet, leading to my singing professionally. I never had any professional training...just ears, and what I hear in my head. Got a keyboard, learned to sequence tracks in about an hour, and I haven't been able to stop! I've always been a diverse music lover, especially of acid jazz, and coming from New Orleans gave me that genetic by product of musical knowingness that happens when you live in such a cultural environment. This cd covers about every mood ranging from tracks about frustration resulting from Katrina and everyday life, to soul stirring love ballads, and funky dance tunes. Check it out!
