notes

By the time Alex was 8 years old, he could play Rachmaninov on the piano with his toes while singing traditional Romanian gypsy folk songs and playing the Hawaiian pineapple gourd ukulele with his free hands without missing a beat. At the age of 12, he became enamored with the guitar. So much so that he subsequently lost all of his other prodigious musical abilities with above said instruments, although he can still sing with a mighty gust of wind while stomping his right foot to the groove that his ten metacarpals can create on a guitar.

People listening to his lyrical ramblings and vocal croonings have been known to cry for no apparent reason as well as laugh at very inappropriate times for weeks thereafter.

His first cd, Magnifying Glass was released on Painted Sun Records in 2000. The album along with dynamic live performances helped Alex gain wide popularity in the NACA college circuit. He has performed at colleges throughout the midwest and east coast. The song "It's a Funny Thing" was featured on the indie surf documentary Land Of Saints, created in Cornwal England.

Currently he is finishing his 2nd recording project at Spiderbone Studios in Minneapolis.

The CD is great! I highly recommend it. The music is great for a rainy day and curling up with a good book, or for long drives. And ordering from this website was super easy and customer service was awesome.

I've been trying to find this CD for 16 months (heard a song from it on a surfing movie that we play in our surf lodge), wish i had of looked harded for it before as now I have it I don't know how I've survived without it! Fantastic CD, chills me out, lifts me up and never fails to put me in a wicked mood.
